• 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 thinly sliced gingerroot
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 2 cup chopped chinese cabbage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon msg (optional)
  • 1/4 cup canned chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup pea pods
  • 1/2 cup sliced bamboo shoots
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced mushrooms

To make some delicious Chinese mixed vegetables that are ideal as a starter or side dish, we will first preheat our wok and spread the vegetable oil around inside. Rub the bottom and sides with the ginger root and garlic, then discard. Put the cabbage in the wok and stir. Add salt, sugar, msg and chicken broth.

Stir and cover. Cook for roughly 3 minutes or so.

Lastly, add the pea pods, bamboo shoots and mushrooms. Stir for about 30 second and serve.
